Maritime traffic is often seen as traditional to fault. However, the industry has employed autonomous technologies for decades alredy. However, One Sea is taking maritime autonomy a step further. The presentation will present the players of the new maritime traffic. The implications of the business case for maritime traffic will be discussed. The presentation will also introduce what One Sea and its partner companies are doing to advance maritime autonomy. Concrete development cases from the partner companies will be presented.

Strong sustainable and resilient (to internal and external disruptions) cities requires enhanced knowledge, understanding and conceptualization urban dynamics. Rethinking cities as frontrunners of an economic renaissance, respecting social and biophysical boundaries in accordance with exhausting resources, geopolitical and urban networks and disruptive (AI, robotics, cyber systems, nano,- biotech. etc) technologies.

Cellular networks are attractive to provide the communications to and from UAVs for BVLOS operations, as they provide wide area coverage already today. However cellular networks are designed and optimized for terrestrial users through for instance downtilted antennas. Through aerial radio measurements we show the differences in radio environment between aerial users and terrestrial users, incl interference aspects.

How can small companies protect their ideas and knowledge? This becomes especially complex now digital innovations may require a new approach, specifically when it comes to patents and copyrights involving software. Moreover, business models with digital data are booming. But how do you protect your unique data? This presentation will provide a compact overview of the most prevalent options for intellectual property protection concerning digital innovations. How can patents, copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks and database rights (or a combination of these options) contribute to your business goals? Examples from the patent database give an impression of the application of patents in practice.

As we progress toward the uncharted territory of the 4th Industrial revolution, the unbounded reach and strategic importance of robotics is making every business open to both global threat and global opportunity. Whilst a number of robotics businesses are shaping the future with moon-shot robotic solutions, the costperformance pay-back of these machines isn’t there, inhibiting their subsequent adoption by industry. This is the commercial reality of today, leaving the question, how do we get to that vision of the future from where we are now?

Most of the people need to work in an outdoor field. Going to the offices for extracting useful information from 2D maps is not the best option. Our groundbreaking augmented reality framework solves the problem of accessing, visualizing and intepreting data. We create augmented visualization for the UAV and other big data, so the user can be guided with a smartphone in the field. The data which is not visible to the naked human eye can be visible with this guidance.
